Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a Medical Director to lead their small animal general practice caring for dogs and cats.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. It is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time position.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will provide medical leadership for the hospital while remaining actively engaged in patient care up to 90% of the time, managing associate veterinarians, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include guiding the medical team, shaping clinic policies, cultivating a supportive team environment, and partnering with the Hospital Manager on financial performance and operational leadership. The role is open to experienced veterinarians seeking to grow in a leadership position while maintaining a clinical caseload.

The hospital operates in a modern facility equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and a fully equipped surgical suite. The hospital has two DVMs supported by a collaborative team environment that emphasizes mentorship, professional growth, and teamwork.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
