Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have experience in animal care, a strong understanding of veterinary procedures, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will work closely with our veterinarians to provide high-quality care to a variety of animals, including exotics. Duties:
- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including animal catheterization and X-rays.
- Provide exceptional pet care, including grooming, feeding, and administering medication.
- Monitor animal behavior and alert veterinarians to any changes or concerns.
- Perform routine animal husbandry duties, such as cleaning cages and providing fresh water and food.
- Restrain animals as needed during veterinary procedures.
- Assist with animal physiology and anatomy tests.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of animal care and treatment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the veterinary clinic.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a veterinary technician or in a related animal care field.
- Knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy.
- Ability to lift and restrain animals of varying sizes.
- Familiarity with veterinary procedures and equipment, including X-ray machines.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work with animals and their owners.
- A passion for animal care and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Certification as a veterinary technician or willingness to pursue certification.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
