NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS). These are experienced professionals who provide technical and professional assistance to the Department of Agriculture for the Agriculture Conservation Experienced Services (ACES) Program.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 15 year(s) of experience in working with NRCS easement program policy, practices and habitat restoration and evaluation. Experience mentoring and/or training conservation staff. OR BA/BS Degree in Wildlife, biology, environmental, agricultural.
- Experience required with Windows, Apple, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint
- Protracts, Conservation Desktop.
Duties:
Conduct Farm Bill training in easement field site visits for legal, programmatic policy, habitat evaluation, monitoring, restoration, landowner discussion and other related conservation easement field expertise. In addition, a laptop will be provided to enter data from field sites and monitor reviews. Telework is authorized. Note: Applicants must live in the state of IN in order to be considered for this position.
- Coordinate and set up local program easement training events/sessions for field staff to include training in easement field site visits for legal, programmatic policy, habitat evaluation, monitoring, restoration, landowner discussion, and other related conservation easement field expertise. 50%
- Travel to Planning Team Leader areas to conduct easement one-on-one/small group trainings, specifically on EQIP, CSP, EQIP/CSP, IRA, RCPP training, and promotions. 30%
- Office/home telework computer data entry, email correspondence, and reporting. 20%
Other:
- Travel Requirements: Occasionally to satisfy the duties of the position. Travel to the field using government vehicles required on a routine basis.
- Overnight travel: 4 days/month.
- Health and Safety Considerations: Potential for outdoor work; therefore, hazards associated with rough terrain and changing weather conditions. Enrollee should prepare/dress accordingly.
