Ray-Carroll is hiring a Sales Agronomist in Brunswick, MO. In this role you will make sales calls throughout the assigned territory to understand customers’ agronomic needs, develop tailored solutions, and build long-term relationships while maintaining and prioritizing a current list of customers and prospects based on operation size, creditworthiness, and market potential to drive sales of seed, fertilizer, ag chemicals, and agronomy services.

The Agronomy Sales Representative will drive sales of seed, fertilizer, crop protection products, and agronomy services within an assigned territory. Responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships by assessing agronomic needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Develop and prioritize customer and prospect lists based on operation size, creditworthiness, and market potential.
- Promote products and programs ethically, leveraging marketing resources and staying current on industry trends and best practices.
- Conduct test plots and field demonstrations to showcase improved crop varieties and agronomic solutions.
- Advise and educate producers on product use, equipment, and best management practices to maximize returns.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify additional customer benefits and opportunities.
- Achieve sales goals, manage account plans, and monitor projected sales to ensure inventory and margin targets are met.
- Provide timely feedback to management on market trends, competitive activity, and customer opportunities or challenges.
- Resolve product, service, or billing issues with customers, suppliers, and management fairly and efficiently.
- Ensure safety compliance, follow company policies, and adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience and/or Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, or related field (preferred).
- Experience and/or knowledge of agronomy sales, crop consulting, or related agricultural field.
- Excellent customer relationship-building skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for advising producers and collaborating internally.
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Valid driver’s license required, CDL is preferred for operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
