Join our team as a Territory Sales Executive for SenseHub and drive the future of dairy monitoring and automation. Use your rural sales experience and commercial smarts to build strong farmer relationships, deliver technical solutions, hit sales targets and shape territory strategy. If you’re confident explaining complex tech, skilled at influencing without authority and keen to work across sales, technical and service teams, this is a high-impact role with real results.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include, however not limited to:
- Achieve sales targets and activity levels for your territory and for SenseHub dairy monitoring and automation products
- Develop and update territory plans to meet targets, reviewing activity against results
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, e.g. farmers, business managers, farm managers and veterinarians
- Use Technical Advisors to support technical messaging and drive sales
- Leverage business relationships to deliver results
- Identify and take part in promotions to maximise sales
- Provide technical and sales training to distributors and partners to ensure correct messaging to end users
- Handle product complaint investigations, pricing queries, compliance issues and follow-up requests within required timeframes
- Deliver corporate sales presentations to consumer groups, customers and distributors
- Analyse customer data for territory, customer and pre-call planning; target high-value customers
- Record customer interactions in the CRM to inform next-call objectives and marketing strategy
- Maintain thorough product knowledge and a broad understanding of animal health issues
- Actively develop selling skills, including company programmes and key account management principles
- Communicate effectively across sales, technical and after-sales teams; share knowledge and contribute to meetings and marketing forums
- Monitor competitor activity and develop local action plans; keep the Regional Sales Lead informed via regular reporting
What You Must have
- Sales experience in rural markets; dairy sector experience is an advantage
- Strong communication skills, able to explain technical ideas to diverse audiences from farm staff to corporate clients
- Excellent customer service and a demonstrable commitment to meeting customer needs
- Ability to influence stakeholders without direct line management, including internal staff and external partners
- Excellent time management to handle customers across a geographically dispersed region
- Technical aptitude: understanding of electronics and mechanical concepts, high computer literacy and ability to learn complex software used in animal management systems.
- A working knowledge of dairy sheds and animal behaviour will be advantageous as will a familiarity with broadband solutions and on farm networking.
