Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate veterinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care, veterinary procedures, and client communication. Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures, including X-ray and laboratory testing.
- Perform animal restraint and handling with confidence across various species, including dogs, cats, and equines.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments following aseptic techniques and veterinary protocols.
- Conduct animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, and maintaining cleanliness in kennels and treatment areas.
- Collect samples for laboratory analysis and process specimens accurately.
- Monitor animal vital signs and provide critical care as needed for hospitalized patients.
- Maintain detailed medical records using veterinary terminology and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Support pet owners with pet care advice, including pet grooming and basic dog training techniques.
- Assist with animal catheterization, X-ray positioning, and other specialized procedures requiring veterinary technician experience.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician is required; additional certifications in laboratory or critical care are a plus.
- Prior experience with kennel management, dog handling, animal restraint, and pet grooming is preferred.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques is essential.
- Experience working with laboratory equipment or performing diagnostic tests such as X-rays is advantageous.
- Strong animal handling skills across various species including dogs, cats, and horses; equine experience is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.

Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
