Position Summary
We’re looking for an agent who understands cattle, market risk, and strong relationships. With the backing of the CattleUSA brand, a name cattle producers already trust, you’ll help ranchers lock in price floors using LRP while preserving upside potential. You’ll also offer PRF, MPCI, and LGM coverage options as part of a broader approach to risk management. This position requires a balance of technical knowledge, sales skill, and comfort working directly with producers.
A combination of overnight and intraday travel is expected up to 25% of the time. A willingness to spend time in sale barns, industry events or trade shows, and on-site with producers is a must.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate relationships with cow calf and feedlot producers using the reputational strength of CattleUSA Insurance
- Educate producers on LRP, PRF, MPCI, and LGM structures, USDA deadlines, and coverage options—fair, transparent, and easy to follow
- Quote, bind, and manage policies in strict compliance with RMA guidelines
- Proactively monitor markets to identify and advise on protection opportunities
- Work jointly with Logic Ag Marketing brokers to deliver full-scale risk management solutions
- Represent CattleUSA Insurance at trade shows, webinars, and on-farm events
- Participate regularly in podcasts, webinars, and directed marketing events to educate producers and expand brand visibility
- Keep precise CRM notes, manage renewals, and maintain timely follow ups
Licensing & Qualifications
Required:
- Crop Insurance License with LRP Endorsement (or willingness to obtain quickly)
- Property & Casualty License (where applicable
Optional:
- Series 3 (commodities rep) and/or Series 30 (branch supervisor)
Desirable Attributes:
- Deep understanding of cattle production or ag industry
- Experience in risk management, insurance, or sales
- Excellent communicator with self-drive and client-centric mindset
