The Safety Specialist/Technician is an integral part of our Global Safety Communities and works closely with our Research Center Operations Leads as well as our Safety Community partners in Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHS&S).*Please note there is NO relocation allowance or visa sponsorship available for this position.Responsibilities – What You Will Do:Facilitate the implementation and alignment of Safety standards across SPD sites located in Spain, Turkey, and Romania.Oversee the rollout of safety policies, promote operational excellence in both routine and seasonal activities, and ensure adherence to local laws and corporate standardsDevelop, deliver, and maintain robust safety training programs tailored for all employee groups, including permanent, seasonal, and contingent staffCollaborate with EHS&S teams to coordinate Safety Community meetings and enhance the representation of Spain, Turkey, and Romania within the European SPD Safety Network.Participate actively in regional safety meetings by sharing best practices and contributing to the broader safety community.Promote a proactive safety culture aligned with Corteva and local standards, linking SPD activities to EHS&S goals.PROFILEA background in agriculture or a related field—acquired through formal education or substantial hands-on experience—is highly valuedMinimum of 5 years’ relevant education and/or work experience (training, operations, agricultural manufacturing, warehousing, etc.). Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required; additional regional languages are a plus. A strong understanding of occupational safety culture and guidelines is highly regarded. Skilled in delivering training and mentorship to both small and large groups with confidenceHigh proficiency with digital tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and readiness to pick up quickly on new software and digital applications.Valid car driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 20% (including during peak agricultural seasons). Demonstrates a genuine interest in safety and personal development, with a willingness to grow into a regional referencePreferences – It Would Be Great If You Have:Hands-on experience in conducting safe daily and seasonal operations within agricultural or comparable settings.Open to obtaining locally recognized certifications in occupational health and safety to enhance expertise.Physical Requirements:Will be required to work outdoors and in varying ergonomic environments during whole shifts and for extended periods (e.g. planting season).Ability to wear required PPE/RPE for the assigned task.Willingness to work outside of normal hours in response to supporting season workloadReady to grow your perspectives, impact, and career?
