A bit about us:
Larkrise Community Farm is a small farm in Trowbridge whose main purpose is to work with children and adults with special education needs and disabilities (SEND) and social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Through practical, hands-on activities our learners grow in confidence in an outdoor environment. We have a range of animals from horses to guinea pigs, donkeys to poultry. We also have growing spaces for vegetables and flowers, a pond, beehives, and access to Biss Woods, where we go for nature walks.
All about the role:
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our small team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting small groups of children and adults with special education needs and disabilities to carry out tasks and activities across the farm. These could include animal care, horticulture, woodwork and other practical jobs. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work outdoors, contributing to the productivity and sustainability of our farm and to the development and wellbeing or our learners. The position involves being outside in all weathers!
