Responsible for the upkeep, repair, and optimization of machinery, equipment, and systems used in animal feed drying and blending processes. Ensure mechanical, electrical, and control systems are functioning properly to maintain production efficiency, quality standards, and safety compliance. \r\nRole Accountabilities \r\nDuties include: \tProvide technical troubleshooting and training in the setup and operation of production equipment, including all aspects of mechanical systems such as Steam traps Heat exchangers, Valves, Pressure valves, Pumps, Motors, Bearings, Dryers, and VFDs \tProvide basic electrical troubleshooting and maintenance support of instruments and controls \tHands-on troubleshooting requiring root cause failure analysis, PMs, testing, repairs, and modifying/improving equipment \tProvide practical and proactive problem-solving skills \tRecord all maintenance activities in the company CMM to accurately track job time, job steps, and parts usage \tMaintain proper stock of tools and parts to perform routine work \tOrganize and maintain accurate spare parts inventory in alignment with the Senior Manager of Spare Parts and Supplies \tProcurement/Inventory \tCalibrate and maintain equipment to manufacturers' specifications \tDiagnose and test malfunctioning equipment and discuss the plan to restore full operation \tProvide weekly maintenance reports and ad hoc reports as needed \r\nRequires: \r\nDemonstrated knowledge of repairing and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems \tDiagnose and test malfunctioning machinery and discuss plan to restore to full operation with key facility personnel \tExperience with organizing and maintaining an accurate spare parts inventory \tGood understanding of PLC controls \tGood understanding of steam generators and boiler operations \tIndustrial experience in electrical and mechanical support functions \tMaintain the proper stock of tools and electrical parts to perform routine work \tMust be able to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints \tMust be knowledgeable of OSHA safety requirements, especially those related to electrical and mechanical operations and components \tStrong mechanical maintenance experience and strong knowledge of hand and power tool usage \t\t\t \t\t\tFor over 55 years, employers and employees in all areas of agriculture have worked with agriCAREERS, INC. to fulfill their employment needs in agribusiness, agronomy, seed, farm production, banking & finance, and the food industries.
