Job Description for Janitor

Core purposes and duties:

To ensure the school is clean and tidy at all times
To keep external areas of the school clean and tidy including car parks, play areas, gardens and windows
To support the day to day work of the school such as setting up rooms, moving furniture and equipment
To support the work of the maintenance team
To support the efficient running of the hydroponics farm and the care of the school animals

In addition, all staff are required to carry out any tasks required by the school or the regional office to facilitate the smooth day to day running of the school
To be line managed by the Facilities assistant and Facilities manager
Hours of work- 6am – 4pm Monday to Thursday, 6am-3pm Friday plus 7 am to 11 am Sunday plus occasional evening and weekend work
Holidays- 30 days per school year (should be taken outside of term time or if not this would be with the express permission of your line manager)
