The Sustainable Process Engineer will be part of the process design team and will participate on the two following topics related to Adisseo sustainability roadmap:
•
In collaboration with the Sustainability central team and the business units, with the support of the Adisseo LCA leader, she/he will develop and implement the LCA program. The plan covers the development of relevant content using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology to highlight the impacts of Adisseo solutions on the feed chain in a worldwide context.
•
In collaboration with the Process Design team and Industrial Representatives, she/he will develop and implement decarbonization roadmap of the industrial plants worldwide (existing and future). The roadmap shall meet the Adisseo targets on Green House Gases (GHG) emissions (scopes 1&2) and shall comply with customers demand regarding the reduction of product carbon footprint (LCA).
ResponsibilitiesWithin the Adisseo Research & Innovation team, the Sustainable Process engineer works on the following activities:
1.
LCA (with support of LCA leader):
•
LCA and environmental data processing and analysis: The Sustainable Process engineer carries out Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) of some Adisseo products to develop reports to be communicated to our stakeholders. She/He also consolidates, processes and analyzes environmental data at product, plant, country or business unit level.
•
Eco-design: She/He will be part of the development and implementation of a new eco-design methodology in the R&I process. She/He will be involved in the sustainability evaluation of innovation projects in collaboration in collaboration with Marketing, R&I and Purchasing.
•
Sustainable development roadmaps, with a focus on CO2, Scope 3 and LCA roadmaps: The Sustainable Process engineer contributes to the implementation of CO2 roadmaps in the different Business Units by providing calculation tools and data for the assessment of scope 3 emissions and the achievement of LCA objectives.
Knowledge sharing: She/He contributes to knowledge sharing and increasing the level of empowerment on LCA at Adisseo.

Industrial decarbonization roadmap (with support of Process Engineer Leader):
•
Existing plants/products: The Sustainable Process engineer will be integrated in working group for the decarbonization of the industrial plants. She/He will work on feasibility study in collaboration with Process Design & Engineering Teams, including design of equipment, simulation of process through process software and contact with suppliers.
•
For future projects: By using LCA tool, she/he will identify the hotspots and propose mitigation action to be implemented during the engineering studies.
•
Technological monitoring: The Sustainable Process engineer will carry out a technological monitoring focused on decarbonization, to keep up to date with the latest technologies available. She/He will participate on webinars, seminars and will share internally with R&I.

QualificationsGraduating with a Master's degree in process engineering, you justify a first approach (including school work, internship or work-study program) with:
•
A practice of Life Cycle Assessment
•
Some experience with Process simulation tools (HYSIS, ASPEN, PRO II)
•
A practice of engineering or Life Cycle Assessment.
•
You have an appetite and skills for data processing and analysis and can simultaneously manage a wide variety of files and projects.
•
You are aware of sustainable development, with a strong desire to reduce GHG emissions
•
Since you will be interacting with many different teams and companies all over the world, your communication skills and a good level of English and French are required.
•
To succeed in this role, you must be organized, innovative, result-oriented, and customer-oriented.
TERMS:
•
Internship in Lyon (Saint Fons) in the Adisseo Research center with some trips to Paris and Europe
•
Internship for a period of 6 months
•
Start in the company from February 2026
