TECH AND DIGITAL INTERN: Process Optimization & Automation Developer

Internship Summary:
We are seeking a talented Summer Intern who is currently studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. As a Business Process Technology Intern, you will work closely with Zoetis’ global enterprise teams—including HR, Finance, Legal, and Corporate Affairs—to understand business challenges and identify opportunities for improvement. You will help design and develop Proofs of Concept (POCs) by leveraging a range of technologies, such as SharePoint, Power Automate, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and Generative AI (GenAI), to streamline operations and drive innovation.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about solving problems through technology, eager to learn new digital tools, and comfortable collaborating across multiple departments. You will gain hands-on experience in business process automation, digital transformation, and emerging technologies, along with mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities within the industry.
Internship Job Duties:
- Business Partner Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and business partners to understand operational challenges, pain points, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct interviews, workshops, and data analysis to document current workflows and identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks.
- Solution Ideation: Research, propose, and evaluate technology-driven solutions—including SharePoint, Power Automate, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and Generative AI—to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
- Rapid Prototyping: Assist in designing and building prototypes or proof-of-concept solutions using relevant platforms (e.g., automating tasks with Power Automate, building dashboards in SharePoint, or developing assistants/workflows in Langdock GenAI tool).
- Implementation Support: Work with technical teams to implement recommended solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.
- Change Management: Help prepare documentation, training materials, and user guides to support adoption of new technology solutions.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor implemented solutions, gather feedback, and analyze impact to ensure continuous improvement.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, operations, and subject matter experts to integrate solutions into existing systems and drive successful outcomes.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in workshops, mentorship, and self-study to develop expertise in business process automation, digital tools, and emerging technologies.
Internship Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Science, Human Resources Information Systems, or a related field.
- High level of integrity and strong ethical values.
- Strong can-do attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience or coursework related to programming, automation, or digital technologies.
- Familiarity with Digital Technologies: Basic understanding of automation, AI, machine learning concepts, and data analysis techniques.
- Data Handling Skills: Ability to collect and clean data from various sources.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply digital solutions to real-world business challenges.
- Teamwork & Communication: Proven collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to document work and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to build working relationships within and between business units.

If the selected candidate is a student pursuing an Undergraduate-level degree: $22.00 per hour
If the selected candidate is a student pursing a Graduate-level degree: $32.50 per hour
If the selected candidate is a student pursuing a Doctorate-level degree: $36.00 per hour
