ROLE INTRODUCTION
As an Accounts and Finance Assistant, your responsibilities encompass various facets of financial record-keeping and transaction management. You will play a key role in maintaining financial records, processing invoices, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring accurate expense management. Your contribution will be crucial in sustaining financial accuracy and regulatory compliance, while also supporting the Finance Department's broader objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting
- Provide overall administrative support to the Accounting Department.
- Receive and review invoices raised by our client facing staff.
- Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Maintaining general ledger.
- Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
- Prepare weekly updates to Relationship Managers for the amount received from the clients.
- Prepare Accounts Receivables (AR) aging list.
- Prepare and file GST returns quarterly.
- Prepare financial reports for management and client review.
- Prepare Month End payment and other expenses such as disbursements.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the Finance Executive as the business direction requires.
Payroll
- Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for Internal staff.
- Provide assistance for payroll & ad-hoc entries in the clients’ bank account.
- Process monthly CPF contributions and government-related mandatory contributions (SDL).
- Generate monthly payslips
- Process income tax submission that includes year-end income tax declaration, IR8A & IR21.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree of any Accounting related course.
- At least 5 years of related working experience in the Accounting field.
- Must be proficient in Xero accounting software and related apps.
- Advanced level of proficiency in MS Excel or Google sheets.
- Competent in using Google Drive and GSuite applications (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and convey information clearly.
- Must be proficient with basic accounting principles.
- Familiarity with Singapore accounting regulations, tax requirements, and compliance processes will be an added advantage.
