Job Description: Our client is seeking an Equine Ambulatory Vet to join a well-established, supportive team providing high-quality care to horses in the field. This role is perfect if you enjoy a mix of routine work, emergency visits and ongoing case management, with the freedom of being on the road but the reassurance of a strong hospital base behind you.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out ambulatory visits for vaccinations, health checks and routine dentistry
- Investigating lameness, medical and minor surgical cases in the field where appropriate
- Advising owners on preventative healthcare, management and rehabilitation plans
- Participating in a shared out-of-hours rota, backed by a helpful and experienced team
Qualifications Needed:
- MRCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with experience in equine practice
- Confidence handling a broad range of ambulatory cases independently
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused, practical approach
- Motivation to continue developing clinically and contribute to team discussions
