Job Description: Our client is seeking a Lead Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with a strong clinical background and a particular interest in surgery or another chosen discipline. This is a senior role within a well-established practice where you’ll help shape clinical standards, mentor colleagues and influence how the service continues to grow, all while maintaining a manageable and rewarding caseload of your own.
You’ll work alongside an experienced team of vets, nurses and support staff, with modern facilities that allow cases to be worked up thoroughly on site. The rota is designed to avoid out-of-hours work and to keep weekends light, making this a great opportunity if you’re ready to step into or continue in a leadership position without sacrificing your work-life balance.
Package:
- Full-time position with options for a four- or five-day week to suit your lifestyle
- No out-of-hours or on-call commitment, with only light Saturday cover on a set rota
- Enhanced annual leave entitlement including bank holidays and dedicated birthday leave
- Structured rota planning to give you clarity and predictability over your working pattern
- Generous CPD budget with a high level of paid CPD hours to support advanced learning
- Funding available for certificates and higher qualifications in your chosen area of interest
- Payment of key professional memberships so you can focus on your clinical work
- Employer pension contributions and regular salary reviews to recognise your experience and input
- Access to staff wellbeing initiatives, employee assistance services and discounted care for your own pets
