The primary focus of this role is cow/calf management, from calving through weaning, with additional responsibilities in cattle feeding and general ranch operations.\r\n\r\nThis person will take an active role in:\r\n- Daily cow/calf care, including calving, tagging, pairing, doctoring, and monitoring health\r\n- Feeding cow herd and youngstock, reading bunks, maintaining ration consistency, and monitoring overall nutrition\r\n- Identifying and treating sick cattle; pulling, sorting, vaccinating, and working cattle confidently\r\n- Pasture moves, checking waterers, mineral programs, and seasonal management of cow herds\r\n- Operating feeding and haying equipment, tractors, loaders, and support equipment\r\n- Assisting with commercial cows and a small registered herd – may feed in the morning and perform diversified ranch/farm tasks in the afternoon\r\n- Help with silage operations, manure hauling, fencing, and general yard and ranch maintenance\r\n- Participating in fieldwork or row-crop support as needed when cattle chores are completed\r\n- Using ranch technology (iPad, Performance Livestock Online) for recordkeeping and performance tracking\r\n\r\nEmployer is looking for someone who brings experience, leadership, initiative, and a strong cattle skillset to the operation.
