Grand River Angus is hiring a Farm Hand – Equipment Operator to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This hands-on role involves working with livestock, performing general farm maintenance, and operating a variety of agriculture equipment.

We are a working farm located in Western Michigan, specializing in Angus cattle and hay production. Our operation includes a herd of 30 cows with calves and over 300 acres dedicated to hay. We value a strong team culture and provide a family-like working environment focused on animal care and land stewardship.

What you will be doing:

Support day-to-day care of the cattle herd, including feeding and health checks
Assist with the calving process and maintain clean bedding for livestock
Spread manure and manage pasture health
Operate farm machinery to mow, rake, and bale hay
Load and unload feed from semi-trucks
Make local deliveries to nearby farms
General farm upkeep such as fixing fences, trimming trees, and weed control

This job is for you if you have:

Previous experience in agriculture, including livestock care and calving
Proficiency in operating tractors and other farm or agriculture equipment
Valid Driver's License
Strong work ethic and dependability
Honest, responsible, and committed to high-quality work
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
