This is a part time position in our small 2 veterinarian hospital. Looking to fill positions for Veterinary technician and receptionists.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to our patients. This role involves working closely with animals, performing various clinical tasks, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for both pets and staff.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
Perform animal handling, restraint, and catheterization as needed
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results to aid in diagnosis
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments
Provide education to pet owners regarding animal care, nutrition, and preventative health measures
Ensure proper aseptic techniques are followed during procedures
Manage kennel duties including cleaning, feeding, and monitoring the health of animals in care
Support dental procedures by utilizing dental terminology and assisting with oral examinations
Participate in pet grooming and handling as required

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills:

Previous veterinary technician experience or equivalent training
Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices
Experience with animal restraint techniques and handling various species including dogs and equines
Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment used in veterinary medicine
Ability to perform X-ray imaging under supervision when necessary
Experience in veterinary critical care is a plus but not mandatory
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
