Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and handling, with experience in various veterinary practices. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to our patients and supporting our veterinary staff in delivering excellent service to pet owners.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
- Perform diagnostic tests and laboratory work, including blood draws and urinalysis
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor animal patients' vital signs and behavior during procedures
- Provide nursing care for hospitalized animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques
Skills
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology
- Experience with animal husbandry and critical care practices
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including sample collection and analysis
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures related to animal dentistry
- Ability to handle various species safely, including dogs, cats, and equines
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques for surgical procedures
- Experience in dog training or grooming is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
