Friday 10am-8pm
Saturday 8am-4pm

Employees are expected to start 30 minutes before the shift.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional wellness care for animals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal handling and wellness veterinary practices (this includes veterinary professionals as well as groomers), ensuring the health and well-being of our patients. This role involves working closely with veterinarians and other staff to deliver high-quality wellness care while maintaining a safe and clean environment. Also willingness to triage and redirect illnesses out the scope of this practice.

Duties

Assist veterinarians.
Provide animal restraint and support.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
Ensure proper sanitation of equipment, instruments, and work areas.
Handle animals with care, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Support front desk operations as needed.
Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and health maintenance.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:

Animal husbandry
Animal restraint techniques
General veterinary experience
Proficient animal handling skills
Familiarity with some veterinary terminology
Comprehensive pet care knowledge
Previous veterinary assistant or clinic experience is highly desirable but not required
