The Animal Attendant is integral to our DogtainersTeam by providing the highest level of animal care, maintaining hygienic animal housing conditions, delivering excellent customer service and administrative support as required.
Main Duties & Responsibilitie

Preparing animals for departure
- Walking and exercising animal
- Feeding animals
- Grooming and washing animals
- Monitoring, addressing and reporting animal welfare and health of animals
- Completing daily report accurately
- Administering medication to animals and providing pet first aid (pending level/training)
- Cleaning and maintenance of animal boarding facilities and animal care products
- Operation of pickup and delivery vehicle as required
- Other tasks as requested by management
Skills and behaviours
- Genuine interest in animals and their care
- Able to read and react to animal behaviour
- Can work with all animal types/breeds including reptiles
- Practiced animal husbandry skills
- Active person with high energy levels to work in a fast paced environment
- High level of flexibility
- Excellent customer service skills
- Take direction where required
- Ability to work within a team efficiently
- Basic Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
