Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Hospital Veterinarian to join our dynamic veterinary team. Your expertise will support medical cases, routine wellness exams, surgical procedures, and other clinical diagnostics and treatments. Duties
- Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions across multiple species, including small animals and equine patients when applicable
- Perform surgical procedures with precision, adhering to aseptic techniques to prevent infection
- Conduct thorough animal examinations, utilizing knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy to inform treatment plans
- Restrain animals safely and effectively during examinations and procedures, demonstrating expert animal handling skills
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments while maintaining detailed medical records
- Assist with laboratory testing and diagnostics to identify health issues accurately
- Provide compassionate pet care advice to clients on animal husbandry, grooming, nutrition, and preventive health measures
- Handle emergency cases with critical care expertise, stabilizing animals swiftly and efficiently during urgent situations
- Utilize veterinary terminology clearly when communicating with colleagues and pet owners to ensure understanding
Requirements
- Veterinary degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure or certification to practice in the relevant region
- Proven veterinary experience with a on client communications and patient care is highly desirable
- Strong animal restraint skills for safe handling of dogs, cats, horses, or other species as needed
- Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology to inform diagnosis and treatment decisions
- Experience with aseptic techniques during surgeries and invasive procedures
- Laboratory experience for diagnostic testing such as blood work or cytology is preferred
- Ability to perform animal catheterization and other technical procedures accurately
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and current best practices in pet care.
- Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration
