We are a mission-driven nonprofit animal shelter dedicated to rescuing and rehoming pets in need. We’re looking for a compassionate, hardworking Animal Care and Enrichment Technician to join our team and help provide a clean, safe, and loving environment for the animals in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean kennels, cages, and living areas to maintain a sanitary shelter environment
- Feed and water animals according to established protocols
- Monitor animals for signs of illness, stress, or behavior changes and report to veterinary or supervisory staff
- Provide daily enrichment, exercise, and affection to support animal well-being
- Wash dishes, do laundry, and maintain general shelter cleanliness
- Support adoptions, intake procedures, or other shelter operations as needed
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A love for animals and commitment to humane care
- Previous experience in animal care, kennel work, or customer service (preferred but not required)
- Comfort handling dogs, cats, and small animals of varying temperaments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs, work on your feet, and perform physical tasks.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.

Pay: $12.50 - $14.50 per hour
