Position OverviewThis role is responsible for operating company vehicles ensuring the safety and security of cargo loading and unloading supplies performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and accurately reporting inspection results.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and adhere to all state and federal DOT regulationsOperate other mobile equipment as necessaryMaintain Current Class A licenseMaintain all equipment as necessaryWhat is expected of you and others at this levelHas developed proficiency through job-related training and considerable on the job experienceCompletes work with a limited degree of supervisionLikely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experienceMinimum Qualifications & SkillsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent required3-5 yearsâ relevant experience requiredMust be able to drive for the company according to Department of Transportation DOT standards and the Companyâs Vehicle Safety and Driver Qualification PolicyPhysical Requirements and Working EnvironmentMust be able to stand/sit for an extended period of timeAbility to frequently lift/push/pull up to 60 poundsMust be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 100 feetWorks indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperaturesWorking conditions could include: dust fumes moderate noise and uneven surfacesTravel requiredThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
