Are you an experienced Veterinary Assistant or RVT looking for flexible, as-needed relief work? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, emergency hospital environment and want to put your skills to good use where every shift makes a difference? Animal Emergency Hospital in Bel Air, MD is seeking a Relief Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 3 years of veterinary experience to join our dedicated team.

Status: Relief / As-Needed (no guaranteed minimum hours)
Schedule: Shifts vary; may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Experience Required: At least 3 years of veterinary assistant experience in a clinic or hospital setting.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Job Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:

Administer common IV medications following proper protocols.
Reconstitute and label IV medications appropriately.
Administer subcutaneous (SQ) fluids and medications.
Perform venipuncture and catheter
Operate in-house diagnostic equipment- IDEXX
Assist in patient preparation for surgery

Physical ability to:
Be active (standing/walking/sitting for 8+ hours)

Computer literacy (Windows-based systems)
Ability to operate a multi-line phone system
