Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine, with a passion for animal care and wellbeing. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, performing surgical procedures, and providing preventative care to ensure the health of our patients. The Veterinarian will work closely with pet owners to educate them on proper animal care and treatment options.
Richmond Hill Animal Hospital is a privately owned small animal practice. We have been caring for the pets in our community since 1987.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose conditions.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
- Perform surgical procedures with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Develop treatment plans tailored to individual animals’ needs.
- Educate pet owners on animal care, nutrition, and preventative health measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to provide high-quality care.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education.
Skills
- Proficient in aseptic technique for surgical procedures.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary practices, including animal anatomy and physiology.
- Experience in animal handling, restraint, and catheterization techniques.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology for effective communication within the team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with pet owners and staff.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address complex medical cases.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
