We are seeking a senior payroll professional to join our Northgate APAC Finance Head Office team on a permanent basis. This stand-alone role will report to the Financial Controller and you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely payroll services across our Australia & New Zealand business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large, head office finance team and be part of a global organisation that makes a positive impact to our vet customers and pet owners.
Your responsibilities will include –
Preparation and processing of fortnightly and monthly pays using ADP across multiple entities in Australia and New Zealand (approx. 400 employees).
Ensuring compliance with payroll related Award and Enterprise Agreement legislative and statutory requirements.
Employee maintenance including ensuring accurate new starter set ups, maintaining leave and deductions, through to termination and long service leave calculations.
Management of statutory payments relating to Superannuation and Payroll Tax.
Month end reporting including Headcount reporting, Super reconciliations etc.
Preparation of periodic and adhoc reports for Finance and management across the organisation.
Developing and implementing best practice payroll processes and programs.
Management and investigation of all payroll queries.
About You
Ideally you will display –
Demonstrated 3-5 years’ experience in a Senior or stand alone payroll capacity within a medium/large company.
Specific system experience in ADP Payroll and Workday HRIS experience will be advantageous.
Demonstrated experience working with large payroll systems across multiple sites.
Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills including the use of VLOOKUP and SUMIF formulas.
Experience in End of Month reporting and analysis will be advantageous.
A passion for payroll with an inherent focus on attention to detail, confidentiality and customer service
A high level of organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
