The position will also provide technical leadership on daily maintenance activities, perform incident investigations, achieve long-range goals by up-grading equipment, and reduce costs in an effort to continuously improve processes and consistently establish the highest standards in the industry for safety, product quality, and reliability.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nKey Tasks and Responsibilities:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tProvide Technical support in the development of detailed job plans for instrument and equipment repairs/ PMs.\r\n\tDevelop Engineering work packages for critical maintenance jobs and improvement projects. \r\n\tMonitor/trend, identify and develop solutions to E&I equipment issues (accuracy, high downtime, high maintenance cost and/or high quantity of repetitive failures). \r\n\tGenerate management of changes documentation for solutions to E&I equipment problems that deviate from original design. \r\n\tMaintain instrumentation specs and area E&I Drawings. \r\n\tPerform incident investigations and participate in unit or area safety teams. \r\n\tProvide technical support to production group with instrument and process issues. \r\n\tWork closely with drafting personnel, production, and maintenance personnel, corporate engineering, and construction contractors. \r\n\tOversight of interlock/safety circuit program.\r\n\tPerform technical input and support for Process Safety management. \r\n\tSome on-call time periods may be incurred and perform administrative duties 20% of the time. \r\n\tManage the proper turnover if implemented control strategies to the customers. This includes proper documentation and training of area personnel and follow-up for debugging/refinement. \r\n\tAssist in managing the long-term reliability efforts for the plant process control systems, including reliability tracking through Emerson. AMS/GE Meridium as well as control system hardware and I/O reliability. \r\n\tCompliance and safety related activities: 10% of the time. \r\n\tPromote site Process Safety and Plant Safety initiatives (EmPart, Behavior Base Safety, and Unit compliance, etc).\r\n\tLead interlock checks and be a primary resource providing troubleshooting guidance to Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians. \r\n\r\n\r\nRequired Qualifications:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\tBachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 4 years engineering experience in manufacturing, engineering, or related field OR a Master’s of Science degree in Engineering;\r\n\tAbility to work as an individual contributor and as part of a diverse team composed of fellow engineers, operations personnel, maintenance personnel, and leadership;\r\n\tStrong communications skills, both oral and written; \r\n\tStrong decision making and problem-solving skills;\r\n\tChallenge status quo to achieve better business results for the business;\r\n\tAbility to work on and balance multiple assignments and priorities;\r\n\tMust be able to perform work in a manufacturing plant environment including ascending/descending stairs/ladders;\r\n\tComputer proficiency in Windows based programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);\r\n\tStrong safety ethic.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nEmployees can expect to be paid a salary between $ 77,906.40 - $116,859.60 per hour. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
