Innovative Dairy Solutions is hiring a Service Technician to join our team in Reedsville, PA (about 60 miles northwest of Harrisburg). In this role you will be installing, maintaining, and repairing automated milking and cooling systems.

As dairy farmers ourselves, we understand the importance of reliable equipment and responsive service. Our team specializes in the installation, maintenance, and repair of precision dairy equipment, and we take pride in serving the local dairy community with integrity and expertise.
We offer competitive compensation of $18 - $24 per hour based on experience, time and a half for overtime, health insurance, paid holidays, retirement plan with company match, profit sharing, company vehicle, phone and laptop, flexible scheduling, and much more.
What you will be doing:
- Install, service, and repair automated dairy milking and cooling equipment
- Travel to customer dairy farms to troubleshoot equipment issues and operational breakdowns
- Support daily Dairy Operations by ensuring equipment performs reliably and efficiently
- Communicate clearly with dairy producers regarding service needs, repairs, and system performance
- Enter, track, and manage work orders using a case management system
- Participate in on-the-job training with experienced Dairy Operations technicians
- Work flexible full-time hours, including overtime and on-call rotation
- Travel primarily within a 50-mile radius; occasional overnight travel may be required
This job is for you if you have:
- Trade school education or experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, electrical work, refrigeration, agriculture, or dairy farming preferred
- Willingness to learn Dairy Operations equipment and systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude with interest in precision Dairy equipment
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, vacuum pumps, electrical panels, conduit bending, PLC programming, or refrigeration is a plus
- Comfortable using computers to connect to equipment, adjust parameters, and support milking system operations
- Excellent communication skills; friendly and professional with customers and vendors
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in fast-paced Dairy Operations environments
- Passion for agriculture and serving dairy farmers
- Comfortable working in dairy barns and around dairy cows
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., climb ladders, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
