Job Description: Our client is seeking a confident and compassionate small animal veterinarian to join a well-respected companion animal hospital in the Glen Eden area of Auckland. The role involves delivering comprehensive care across a wide range of small animal veterinary services including wellness visits, diagnostics, surgical procedures and preventative medicine, supported by a multi-disciplinary clinical team and modern equipment. You’ll join a practice that focuses on thoughtful clinical decision-making and personalised patient care, while building strong relationships with clients and their pets.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a busy urban clinic with a varied caseload, from routine check-ups to complex medical and surgical cases. In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough clinical examinations and developing patient-specific treatment plans
- Performing routine and soft-tissue surgical procedures with confidence
- Interpreting diagnostic imaging and laboratory results to guide clinical decisions
- Communicating clearly and compassionately with pet owners regarding care options
- Collaborating with nursing and support staff to ensure high standards of patient welfare
Qualifications Needed:
- Veterinary degree eligible for registration with the New Zealand Veterinary Council
- Competence in small animal medicine and surgery
- Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills
