Overview
The Global Product Lead for Pet Health & Wellbeing will serve as the strategic owner of a global portfolio of specialty ingredients that support the health and vitality of pets. This leader will define the long‑term product vision, shape the innovation pipeline, and ensure strong global execution through close partnership with R&D, regulatory, operations, and regional commercial teams. The role is critical to driving growth, differentiation, and category leadership for Kemin’s Pet Food & Rendering business.
The ideal candidate combines strong strategic thinking with deep market understanding, technical curiosity, and the ability to translate insights into clear product direction. This leader will champion the portfolio globally, guide innovation priorities, and ensure consistent positioning and messaging across all regions.

Responsibilities
- Develop and own the global product strategy for the Pet Health & Wellbeing portfolio, including positioning, value propositions, and long‑term roadmap.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to guide portfolio evolution and innovation priorities.
- Responsible for global revenue, margin, and portfolio performance. Portfolio includes functional ingredients supporting pet health outcomes such as digestion, immunity, vitality, and overall wellbeing.
- Lead global lifecycle management, including optimization, rationalization, and new product introductions.
- Collaborate closely with R&D to define technical requirements, claims strategy, and development priorities.
- Support clinical research, application development, and regulatory planning to ensure successful commercialization.
- Develop sales tools, training materials, and technical narratives that elevate customer conversations.
- Support key customer engagements, including strategic accounts, co‑development opportunities, and industry events.
- Facilitate strong communication flow between R&D, regulatory, operations, and commercial teams.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the pet health ecosystem, including pet food manufacturers, supplement brands, veterinary influencers, and emerging trends.
- Conduct competitive assessments and identify whitespace opportunities for differentiation.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Animal Science, Nutrition, or a related field; MBA preferred
- 8+ years of experience in product management, marketing, or commercial roles within pet nutrition, animal health, or B2B ingredients
- Strong understanding of pet food and pet supplement industries, including regulatory considerations.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence without authority.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into compelling value stories.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a bias for action.
- Global mindset and experience working across regions and cultures.
