Job Purpose The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization across all procurement activities .
This includes raw materials, packaging, spare parts, services, and CAPEX.
The role ensures continuity of supply, cost efficiency, quality compliance, strong governance, and risk control while supporting production, biosecurity, and operational excellence across feed mills and poultry operations.
Key Responsibilities 1.
Strategic Procurement & Sourcing Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with operational and financial goals.
Lead sourcing of key raw materials (corn, soybean meal, additives, premixes, packaging, veterinary items, fuel, etc.
). Conduct supplier benchmarking, tendering, and negotiations.
Establish long-term contracts and framework agreements for critical commodities.
2. Cost Control & Savings Achieve year-on-year cost savings through negotiation and alternative sourcing.
Monitor commodity markets and price trends.
Track PPV and savings realization with Finance.
Support budgeting and forecasting of procurement spend.
3. Supplier Management & Governance Prequalify and evaluate suppliers per company policies.
Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, biosecurity, and ESG standards.
Conduct regular supplier performance reviews.
Manage supplier risks (single sourcing, logistics disruption, quality issues).
4. Operational Support & Coordination Work closely with Production, Feed Formulation, Poultry Operations, Quality, and Logistics.
Ensure uninterrupted supply to feed mills, hatcheries, and farms.
Align procurement planning with S&OP cycles.
Maintain min–max stock levels in ERP and prevent stock-outs.
5. Contracting & Compliance Lead preparation and review of contracts, SLAs, and commercial terms.
Ensure compliance with DOA and procurement governance.
Support internal and external audits.
6. Systems & Reporting Ensure all procurement is executed through the ERP system.
Maintain vendor data, pricing, and contract records.
Prepare procurement performance and risk reports.
Issue monthly SLOB and depletion plans.
7. Team Leadership Lead and develop the procurement team.
Set objectives, KPIs, and performance standards.
Promote a culture of accountability, ethics, and collaboration.
Job Requirements Strong experience in strategic sourcing, commodity procurement, and contract negotiation.
Proven ability to manage suppliers and large procurement portfolios.
Experience with ERP systems (D365 preferred).
Strong commercial, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure in operational environments.
High integrity and strong governance mindset.
Proficient in Arabic and English.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Agriculture, or related field.
Professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM, PMP) are an advantage.
8–12 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Background in agriculture, feed mills, poultry, FMCG, or commodity-based industries is preferred.
