Dairy One is hiring a Dairy Herd Improvement (DHI) Technician to join our team in Western New York. In this role you will be supporting dairy producers by collecting accurate milk samples and herd data that drive informed decision-making, improved production, and farm profitability. This territory covers Western New York, with a focus on Allegany, Wyoming, Cattaraugus, and Erie counties. Candidates may live anywhere within reasonable driving distance of this region.

We offer competitive compensation of $30,000 - $40,000 based on experience, medical, dental and vision insurance, group-term life insurance, paid time off, 401(k) retirement plan, and more.
What you will be doing:
- Sanitize, set up, and clean testing equipment
- Print reports and complete invoicing
- Record cow identification numbers
- Collect and pour milk samples
- Monitor data for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure proper sample handling and delivery
- Conduct on-site farm visits and consultations
- Communicate with dairy producers regarding services and invoicing
- Coordinate scheduling with team leaders
- Collaborate with Dairy One team members and management as needed
- Drive to multiple dairy operations within assigned territory
- Work safely in farm and parlor environments
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working on a dairy farm or in Agriculture
- Passion for the Dairy industry and livestock production
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Dependable transportation
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Physical capability to perform farm-based work, including standing, lifting, and working in varying environmental conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in Dairy Agriculture such as herd health, genetics, nutrition, cattle management, or feed services
- Experience with dairy herd improvement testing or milk sampling
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
