Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Registered Veterinary Technician OR a Veterinary Assistant with at least 5 years' experience with anesthesia.

We are open Monday-Friday, closed on weekends so employees can enjoy their weekends along with having one weekday off.
Duties
- Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and laboratory tests to ensure smooth workflow and accurate results
- Perform dental cleanings, radiographs, and utilize dental terminology to communicate findings effectively with the team and pet owners.
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques, ensuring their comfort and safety during examinations and treatments.
- Maintain aseptic techniques during surgical preparations and procedures to prevent infections.
- Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines and in-house bloodwork machines.
- Support pet care activities including feeding and administering medications as directed by veterinarians.
- Manage laboratory tasks such as sample collection, processing, and recording results accurately for diagnostics
- Assist with animal husbandry duties including cleaning kennels, monitoring animal physiology, and ensuring proper nutrition and comfort.
- Contribute to veterinary critical care efforts by monitoring vital signs and providing emergency support when needed
- Participate in training dogs for handling or training purposes to improve animal cooperation during exams or procedures
Qualifications
- Valid RVT license or equivalent certification; experienced vet technicians are encouraged to apply (at least 5 years).
- Prior kennel experience combined with strong animal handling skills
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques
- Experience (at least 5 years) with dental procedures, laboratory testing, X-ray operation, and pet grooming is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle dogs confidently using dog training techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and educating pet owners about pet care needs
- Strong attention to detail in record-keeping and adherence to safety protocols

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
