$108,542 - $128,724 salary package - includes base salary ($95,630 - $113,411 per annum) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

As an Animal Care Teacher at TAFE NSW Tamworth, you’ll play a key role in shaping the next generation of animal care professionals. You will deliver high‑quality, hands‑on training that builds students’ skills, confidence, and genuine passion for working with animals.
In this role, you’ll create engaging, practical learning experiences in our teaching facilities and simulated industry environments, ensuring students are job‑ready and aligned with current industry standards. Your guidance and support will help learners succeed and graduate as capable, compassionate animal care practitioners.

About You
To be successful in the role you will:
- Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills, and at minimum hold a Certificate IV or higher qualification in Veterinary Nursing.
- Have a minimum of five years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
- Hold evidence of the required teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document (here) for details.
- Be prepared to develop and maintain your Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.
