Job Description Background & Context Position Overview - Basic Functions & Responsibility The primary responsibility of the Field Services Veterinarian (FSV) is to execute the FSV strategy and tactical plans to achieve business outcomes, drive sales and market share growth, maximise biopharma and MAHI portfolio opportunities including launches and provide first class technical support to our customers, stakeholders, KOLs and influencers and support the technical needs of the sales regions. The Field Services Veterinarian will interact with customers on a technical level, deliver presentations at forums local and national, and train sales representatives on the use of technical data during sales calls. The Field Services Veterinarian will also coach sales representatives on technical selling. Of critical importance to the successful execution of this role is the ability to communicate technical information effectively to a range of audiences. This includes the development of effective product/industry training programs for appropriate staff. The Field Services Veterinarian will also support preparation of technical tools and provide field technical support to the marketing team. Attention to detail and presentation skills are key competencies. Understanding the role and opportunity of the Field Services technical services team in ensuring commercial success of the marketing and sales teams is necessary so that appropriate technical support of sales is provided. The Field Services Veterinarian is based in field within their defined territory and reports to the Field Services Team Leader Australia. Primary Activities – Accountabilities Primary activities include, but are not limited to: Field implementation § Successfully execute the Field Veterinary Services strategy and action plans to achieve business goals. § Liaise with the sales team to develop and implement territory plans for technical field coverage, including customer visits, provision of best practice technical trainings and presentations, and measurement and achievement of defined key team field metrics. § Utilise the sales team within territory to influence customers and clients to drive sales and market share growth. § Serve as the territory’s technical expert, evaluating regional and individual technical training needs of the sales representatives and coaching sales representatives in technical selling skills. § Prepare and deliver technical trainings on our products to our veterinary and retail customers and to university and TAFE students. § Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers and stakeholders (e.g., veterinarians, vet Nurses, store managers, etc). Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOL’s) and key influencers (e.g. specialists, vet schools, key accounts etc). to investigate, evaluate / obtain alignment and implement new business opportunities. Ensure adoption, best practice use, and value capture of CRM (MAXX). § Represent the company at Veterinary Schools, Professional Veterinary Associations and Conferences Ensure adoption, best practice use, and value capture of CRM (MAXX). Technical Services Provide technical advice to veterinarians, veterinary and pet retail staff, and consumers on company products. Ensure best practice use and adoption of CRM (MAXX) with respect to case entries for AEs, PQCs and Technical Enquiries. Development and implementation of field materials as determined with marketing and the Field Services Technical manager in consultation with the Technical Services Lead Develop and implement market development studies and produce publications to support launches and drive portfolio development. Learning and Development § Maintain a high level of product knowledge, as well as a broader understanding of Animal Health issues. § Maintain a high level of product knowledge for competitor products to ensure appropriate positioning of our Animal Health products. Maintenance and Housekeeping · Ensure equipment and all tools of trade are maintained in a clean and safe working order at all times. · Ensure good housekeeping in the work area in accordance with company and relevant quality standards. Documentation and PV Responsibilities · Maintain all documentation in accordance with Company and relevant quality standards. · Undergo PV training to ensure that you are familiar with the required reporting processes and timelines for Adverse Events and Product Quality complaints. · Ensure that all potential PV and Product Quality Complaint information encountered is reported as per the PV reporting processes and timelines described in your local and global PV/ PQC training. · Undertake PV related activities as assigned to you by your manager. These may include review of scientific literature for potential PV related AH product information, assistance with training of colleagues in various aspects of PV, supporting the marketing teams to ensure potential PV information is identified and reported correctly during market research, post registration studies and social media activities. EHS § Ensure all hazards and environmental aspects in your area are identified, documented, assessed and controlled in accordance with EHS procedures. § Ensure compliance with legal and other requirements. § Ensure you adhere to all EHS information, policies, instructions, training and supervision as is necessary to perform your work in a manner that is safe and without significant risk to health or the environment. § Ensure compilation of EHS reports as required by senior management, regulatory authorities and others. § Identify and record EHS monitoring requirements and implement appropriate monitoring. § Ensure scheduled audits and inspections (for which you are responsible) are conducted and necessary corrective actions are developed and completed. Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience, Qualifications and Competencies required (include specific skill levels required to apply Company Leadership Standards) Qualifications: § A Veterinary Degree and registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland is essential. Post-Graduate qualifications, such as membership of the Australian College, are an advantage.
