Animal Urgent Care is dedicated to providing immediate veterinary services that are more accessible and affordable than traditional emergency rooms. Our mission is to bridge the gap between primary care veterinarians and 24-hour emergency centers, ensuring that pets receive timely and compassionate care. We do not provide preventive/wellness care or overnight/ICU care.
Summary
We are seeking a skilled Veterinarian to join our team for 2-4 shifts a week at Animal Urgent Care. In this role, you will provide high-quality urgent care for animals without requiring appointments. We work 8 hour shifts (4pm-12am) with the last patient checked in 30 minutes before closing (we don't stay late!).
All of our employees are licensed veterinary technicians (and fabulous!).
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to diagnose health issues.
- Administer treatments and medications
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Stay updated on veterinary practices and advancements in animal medicine.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- State veterinary license in good standing.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings
