Job Overview
- Receptionist duties including scheduling appointments and answering phones.
- Maintain front office inventory, including ordering, tracking, pricing and stocking retail products, supplies and equipment as required.
- Order Veterinary medications, vaccines, and supplies as required.
- Assist in animal care as requested.
- Promote, train, and ensure adherence to the health and workplace safety of self, coworkers, and anyone under their supervision.
Responsibilities
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite; ability to quickly learn new software.
- Experience with electronic and paper file management.
- Affinity for animals and their care.
- Basic knowledge of medical and surgical procedures commonly used in the treatment of animals as well as vaccines and pharmaceuticals used an asset.
- Organization skills a must.
Working Conditions
- Tight deadlines and pressure to complete tasks and work assignments in a timely, efficient manner.
- Extended periods of time sitting while working at a computer or talking on the phone.
- May experience exposure to: Temperamental animals, animal pharmaceuticals and vaccines, animal saliva/blood/feces/urine, cleaning and sterilization chemicals.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:
- Open Monday-Friday. Available schedule is four 10-hour work days per week with alternating days off.
