We are currently seeking a skilled Finance Business Analyst to join our Northgate Finance HQ on a 6 month contract basis. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of Finance IT solutions by capturing, validating, and managing the business and functional requirements for delivery. Working with a variety of key stakeholders, you will focus on documenting current and future state finance processes, defining detailed use cases and functional requirements, supporting vendor solution design, and ensuring effective test planning and execution.
Your responsibilities will include –
- Documenting and analysing current-state finance processes across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger etc., while defining future state processes that align to system capabilities.
- Translating business needs into clear, structured use cases that vendors can configure and implement.
- Development of test scenarios, test cases and acceptance criteria while coordinating User Acceptance Testing across finance functions.
- Supporting implementation activities including data validation, process walkthroughs, and cutover readiness.
- Contributing to the development of Statements of Work by providing clear scope definition, assumption, and deliverables.
- Facilitation of workshops with Finance, IT, and vendors to drive alignment.
About You
Ideally you will display –
- A relevant degree in Accounting/Commerce or Information Technology coupled with demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst supporting finance or enterprise system implementations.
- Strong understanding of finance processes including AP, AR, GL, and financial controls.
- Proven experience producing functional requirements, use cases, and test artefacts for IT projects.
- Experience supporting vendor-led implementations and sprint-based delivery models.
- Strong documentation, process mapping, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a delivery-focused environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate between finance and technical audiences.
