The Role:
Our Human Resources team is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to support the continued growth of our business. As an experienced recruiter with a strong background in retail operations, you will take ownership of end-to-end talent acquisition for our Support Office and Distribution Centre and play a key role in ensuring we attract and retain high-quality talent.
You will work closely with leaders across the business, from Executives to Area Managers, providing expert advice on recruitment strategy and championing best practice processes that strengthen the Universal Store employer brand. With a dynamic workforce and multiple hiring needs, you will build strong relationships, navigate competing priorities and confidently guide stakeholders towards effective hiring and retention outcomes.
This Support Office based role offers the opportunity to influence recruitment strategy at scale, support ongoing growth and contribute to the development and upskilling of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver end-to-end talent acquisition services to support the growth of a high-performing workforce.
- Source, screen and interview candidates across a range of roles, ensuring strong alignment with business needs.
- Use a variety of recruitment platforms and tools to attract high quality talent.
- Provide a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Shape and evolve a forward-thinking recruitment strategy that aligns with current and future business priorities.
- Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders to create tailored talent solutions that support organisational objectives.
- Lead values based attraction initiatives, using data and insights to enhance hiring outcomes.
- Provide expert recruitment advice through reports, briefings and strategic recommendations.
What We're Looking For:
- 3-5 years' experience in internal recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, analysing, and supporting the onboarding process.
- You will have previous experience in retail or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods recruitment from an internal recruitment position.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Experience in using a cloud-based HCM/HRIS such as Dayforce, Employment Hero, Workday etc.
- An analytical and strategic understanding of the challenges facing the recruitment landscape.
