The operation is spread across a large geographic area in a remote high-desert environment. The ranch operates with a small crew and runs a practical, no-frills operation using older but functional facilities and equipment.\r\n\r\nLivestock are handled using low-stress methods, and the operation places a strong emphasis on doing things correctly, safely, and efficiently. Beef cattle are the primary enterprise, with cattle typically marketed as long yearlings, along with sheep and hay production.\r\n\r\nThe owners are seeking a long-term employee who wants steady ranch work and to become a reliable part of a good ranch operation. This position may also be suitable for the right couple, depending on experience and expectations.\r\n\r\nPrimary Responsibilities\r\n\r\n\r\n\tDaily care of cattle and sheep, including feeding, watering, and monitoring animal health\r\n\tWorking and processing livestock (sorting, branding, and general handling)\r\n\tFence repair and construction, including braces, gates, and limited new fence line\r\n\tMaintenance of ranch buildings, corrals, and property\r\n\tOperation of ranch equipment including tractors, front-end loaders, backhoes, pickups, and ATVs\r\n\tIrrigation of pasture and hay ground\r\n\tHaying and general farming activities\r\n\tGeneral ranch duties as needed\r\n\r\n\r\nQualifications\r\n\r\n\r\n\tHonest, dependable, and hard-working\r\n\tSelf-starter capable of working independently\r\n\tGood Ranch background preferred\r\n\tExperience operating and maintaining farm/ranch equipment\r\n\tMechanical aptitude preferred; welding experience preferred\r\n\tWilling to listen, take instruction, and apply experience\r\n\tLooking for a long-term, full-time ranch employee\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nBENEFITS:\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nHouse, Utilities, Simple IRA\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nALL INQUIRIES ARE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL.
