About the role .
We are seeking a talented and proactive Agriculture Operations and Digital Administrator to support our Agriculture team in Smithton. This role is key to ensuring seamless operations and digital adoption within our agricultural processes and grower interactions. You will work closely with department members, growers, suppliers, and wider site support teams, providing vital administration and digital support to help drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
What you'll be doing.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Agriculture team and manage PC&R potato transactions.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier payments and contract setup.
- Generate essential reports on stores, scheduling, and key metrics.
- Organise Agriculture meetings, events, and travel arrangements.
- Oversee grower and vendor setups, prepayments, and respond to inquiries.
- Act as subject matter expert for Agriculture Digital rollout: onboarding growers, supporting training, and troubleshooting.
- Support compliance, safety, data entry, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need to be successful.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and deliver results under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and adaptability to new digital programs and systems.
- Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated experience in administration and digital operations within an agricultural or similar setting.
- A proactive approach to process improvement and change management.
- Previous experience with PCR systems, Coupa, WNS Trac, or similar platforms preferred.

You will join our collaborative Agriculture team based in Smithton, reporting to the Supply, Storage & Operations Manager. The team is committed to supporting growers and suppliers, driving digital innovation, and ensuring reliable supply chain operations. The role is integral to smooth departmental performance and will work closely with leadership, growers, and wider McCain site teams.
