Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinarian specializing in spay, neuter, and vaccination procedures to join our compassionate veterinary team. This role involves providing high-quality surgical and medical care for animals, ensuring their well-being through humane and efficient practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong animal handling skills, veterinary critical care experience, and a thorough understanding of veterinary terminology and anatomy. Responsibilities
- Perform spay, neuter, and vaccination procedures with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to minimize stress and injury
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative care for animals undergoing surgery
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with veterinary standards
- Educate pet owners on animal health, husbandry, and preventive care
- Assist with laboratory testing and diagnostic procedures as needed
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and work areas
- Monitor animals during recovery from anesthesia, providing critical care when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic operations and animal welfare
- Position includes regular participation in vaccine clinics.
Requirements
- Veterinary degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice in the region
- Veterinary critical care experience preferred; strong animal physiology and anatomy knowledge essential
- Proficiency in animal restraint, handling, and husbandry across various species including dogs and cats; equine experience a plus
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology, aseptic techniques, pet grooming, animal catheterization, and laboratory procedures
- Excellent animal care skills with a focus on humane treatment and safety
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for educating pet owners effectively
- Prior experience in pet grooming, pet care, or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
