The Branch Manager serves as the senior leader and general manager of a location, responsible for the overall performance, profitability, and operational excellence of the location. This role oversees all departments including production, maintenance, safety, quality, logistics, and administration. The Branch Manager ensures alignment with corporate goals while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead all site operations with full P&L, Cash Flow and Balance sheet accountability.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for the branch.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to meet production, quality, and financial targets.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Oversee daily operations including production, fields, maintenance, logistics, and quality assurance.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Drive operational excellence, improved efficiencies and reduced costs through process optimization, continuous improvement projects and best practices.
- Attend equipment and technology expos, supplier demonstrations, and industry events to evaluate innovations that can enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve productivity across manufacturing and agricultural processes.
- Lead site-level efforts to identify, control, and eliminate waste, including excess raw materials, production rework, and operational errors, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and driving efficiency and resource utilization.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation.
- Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing leadership team.
- Promote employee engagement, retention, and professional growth.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration across departments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for local customers, vendors, and community stakeholders.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through quality products and timely delivery.
- Represent the company in local industry and community events.
- Support cross-departmental collaboration to achieve operational goals, including partnerships with Sales, Logistics, and Finance.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to manufacturing and agriculture.
- Foster a respectful and collaborative team environment to support site and company goals.
- Model and promote Continental Floral Greens’ vision, mission, and values in daily operations and team leadership.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides direct management to assigned team members.
- Responsible for developing people, improving processes, reducing costs, monitoring quality, delivering results against established objectives, and ensuring a high level of service to internal and external customers.
- Manages assigned employees by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, developing, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning monitoring, appraising, and reviewing employee job contributions; maintaining compensation, resolving problems, and implementing change.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) in business, agriculture, industrial engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or operations.
- Proven track record of managing P&L and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of production systems, supply chain, and quality control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and data-driven decision-making.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, perishable goods, or similar industry preferred.
- Bi-lingual Spanish
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing Certification strongly preferred.
- OSHA 30 Certification or similar preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and agricultural operations.
- Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and production management software.
- Ability to implement and oversee quality control and improvement programs.

- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and requests from various people at any given time and act independently.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Frequent exposure to outdoor farming environments and manufacturing facilities, with occasional travel between sites.
- May require lifting equipment or products weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Standing, walking, and working in non-climate-controlled environments for extended periods.
OTHER:
- Equipment used: Manufacturing equipment, hand tools, computer, phone, various virtual technologies.
- Travel: Minimal travel (<25%) may be required.
