Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Locum Veterinarian to provide clinical cover from 7th April until 1st June 2026. This temporary opportunity offers the chance to work within a well-equipped practice while supporting the existing team during planned leave.
You will manage a varied companion animal caseload, utilising modern diagnostic equipment and collaborating with an established nursing team. While the focus is small animal medicine and surgery, some after-hours and on-call participation will be required during the placement period.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting consultations and developing treatment plans
- Performing routine surgical procedures and diagnostics
- Managing inpatient care and case follow-ups
- Participating in shared after-hours and on-call duties
- Maintaining clear communication with clients and team members
Qualifications Needed:
- BVSc or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
- Experience in small animal general practice
- Comfortable handling routine surgical and medical cases
- Ability to integrate smoothly into an established team
- Availability for the full locum period
