Job Description: Our client is seeking a full-time Small Animal Veterinarian with an interest in canine reproduction to join a progressive and well-regarded practice. With structured weekday shifts and no emergency or after-hours requirements, the position provides consistency and predictability while still delivering engaging and hands-on case exposure. Weekend work is limited to scheduled reproductive procedures, allowing for forward planning and improved work-life balance. Training and development in reproduction will be supported for candidates eager to expand their expertise in this niche area.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting reproductive consultations and fertility assessments
- Performing artificial insemination procedures and pregnancy diagnostics
- Monitoring pregnancies and assisting with elective caesarean sections
- Collaborating with nursing staff to ensure high standards of neonatal care
- Maintaining detailed case records and clear client communication
Qualifications Needed:
- BVSc or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
- Previous experience in small animal clinical practice
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Interest in developing skills within canine reproduction
- Availability to participate in a 1 in 4 scheduled weekend roster
