Compensation
·
Base pay: $60,000-$70,000 dependent upon experience
·
Commission: commissions earned are based on a percentage of sales generated with a potential of earning $30,000 to $70,000.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Account Management
·
Finding, developing, and managing relationships with customers to sell produce, ensuring sales targets are met.
Procurement & Sourcing
·
Sourcing, buying, and negotiating directly with farms, growers, and shippers to obtain the best quality, price and volume of produce.
Supply Chain & Logistics
·
Managing the movement of produce from the field to the final customer, including arranging transportation, managing inventory levels, and optimizing delivery schedules.
Problem Solving
Managing issues such as damaged products, shipping delays, or out-of-stock items to minimize waste and maintain customer satisfaction.
Travel and Related
·
Participate in occasional travel for customer meetings, supplier visits, and trade shows.
Typical Daily Activities:
Inventory checks for live updates, track outbound trucks to ensure on time deliveries, prospecting of new markets, keep management updated on sales and any issues along with resolutions, update and provide marketing pictures and materials to customers.
Networking & Negotiation

Talking to growers to check on product quality and availability, then negotiating prices with customers.
Data Analysis
·
Monitoring market trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitors to set competitive prices.
·
Provide customers with updates on crop conditions, market fluctuations, and product availability.
Documentation
·
Preparing sales contracts, invoices, and shipping documents.
Quality Control
·
Coordinating with QC Teams to ensure produce meets industry and customer standards.
Skills Required:
Industry Knowledge

Understanding of produce commodities, seasonal trends, and perishable inventory management.
Communication, Negotiation, Claims & Collections
·
Strong personable and professional communication skills and relationship-building skills with growers, buyers, transportation providers, and internal TGF team members.

Ensure timely follow-up on claims and collections related to product quality or delivery disputes.

Work Effectively with diverse personality types, fostering strong relationships with all partners.
Technology Proficiency

Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office, Spreadsheets, Famous Software, Email Communication etc.)

Self-starter/motivator
Experience
·
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing or agriculture preferred.
·
Minimum 3-5 years in buying, selling, or procuring produce
·
Proven track record of developing clients and new sales.
