Crop Production Agronomist\r\nCamas Creek Ranch | White Sulphur Springs, Montana\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nPosition Overview\r\n\r\nFull-time position assisting in the management of our crop production at Camas Creek Ranch. You'll contribute to all aspects of our farming operations including alfalfa, triticale, and small grain production. During slower crop production periods, you'll support broader ranch operations. This role drives the growth and innovation of our cropping program.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nPrimary Responsibilities\r\n\r\n\r\n\tCoordinate and assist with the following:\r\n\tPlan, manage, and implement crop rotations across all fields\r\n\tDevelop fertilizer and chemical programs for each rotation\r\n\tOrder seed, fertilizer, and chemicals\r\n\tCoordinate timeliness for all input applications\r\n\tAssist in operating pivot and flood irrigation systems\r\n\tMonitor crop health and make real-time adjustments\r\n\tMaintain detailed records of all field operations\r\n\tIdentify opportunities to improve yields and reduce costs\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nOther Responsibilities\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSupport ranch operations including but not limited to maintenance projects, fencing, facility repairs\r\n\tAssist with cattle handling and feeding operations as needed \r\n\tContribute to the broader ranch team during seasonal workload fluctuations\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nRequired Skills\r\n\r\n\r\n\tGPS technology: Must operate precision ag systems proficiently\r\n\tEquipment operation: Run John Deere tractors, implements, and Massey Ferguson baler\r\n\tCrop knowledge: Strong understanding of alfalfa, triticale, and small grain production\r\n\tSoil analysis: Read and interpret soil tests to make nutrient recommendations\r\n\tIrrigation: Operate and troubleshoot pivot and flood systems\r\n\tTeam Oriented: Must work as a detail-oriented team player\r\n\tOrganization: Keep meticulous records and maintain equipment/supply areas\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\n\r\n\r\n\tCorn production experience\r\n\tSprayer operation and calibration\r\n\tPrecision agriculture software experience\r\n\t3+ years managing crop production\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nCompensation\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPay based on experience. \r\n\tBenefits package available.\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nTo Apply\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSubmit your resume and three references using the Apply to this Position icon below.\r\n\r\n
