Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals under anesthesia
- Take and develop X-rays
- Collect and analyze laboratory samples
- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas
- Provide compassionate care to animals and their owners

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Veterinary technician certification or licensure
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Experience in animal handling and restraint techniques
- Proficiency in animal catheterization and venipuncture
- Familiarity with veterinary critical care procedures
- Ability to groom pets, including brushing, and nail trimming
- Knowledge of animal husbandry practices, including feeding, exercise, and hygiene
- Experience in dog training and behavior modification techniques is a plus

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
